Statement from the President

The 30th Field Artillery Regiment Association is a community of veterans and active duty personnel who have served this country since 1918.

The purpose of the Association is to establish and maintain a fraternal, non-profit corporation to bring together those who have served honorably with, or are now serving in, the Regiment. The Association is dedicated to basic, traditional American principles of love country, respect for the flag, and the rule of order.

We honor those comrades who have served honorably, particularly those who have sacrificed their lives while serving with the Regiment.

One of our goals is to preserve and strengthen the relationships formed while serving with the Regiment.  We accomplish this through the publication of an Association newsletter, by maintaining an Association web site, by keeping Association rosters current, through the conduct of annual reunions, and the presentation of various awards as well as by other appropriate means.  We reach out continually to our former fellow soldiers as they are discovered, offering them the opportunity to join with us once again.

We gather historical materials relating to the Regiment in order to publicize and preserve the memory of the common and valorous deeds and actions of the Regiment, its individual members, and its organic and attached elements. We have compiled a formal written history, assembled displays of memorabilia, and accumulated and preserved for posterity other materials associated with the Regiment. Much of the Regiment’s physical history is in Vernor Auditorium, located in Snow Hall at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and available for all Artillerymen and women to review. Added during the 2010 Reunion was a statue of the patron saint of the Artillery, Saint Barbara.  Nearly seven feet tall with the base, this portrait in bronze honors all artillery personnel who have contributed to the Artillery’s key role in defending this nation over the years.

We want to foster and maintain comradeship among all members of the Association and their families. We encourage all those who have served with the 30th Field Artillery Regiment anywhere in the world to join our fellowship.

HARD CHARGER, SIR!

/S/   John Dynes

Association President
