Name: Cliff Anderson messageHi all, it's been a long time, I am hoping to make it to the reunion this year, have to see what happens from now till then. I had told a lot of you about a painting that I was have done, and I said it would be about 6 weeks, well after more then a year everything is completed. And I would like to give a big thanks to Dan G. for helping me come up with a very good painting. Dan had sent me some of the picture from the Hard Charger's history, and we came up with what I feel is a out standing painting, ever item in the painting is from one or another of the picture from Dan or from my own collection. We have named the paint "WAKE UP CALL" the artist is Darrell Bush, he is one of the top artist in the upper midwest. if any of you would like to see what it looks like please send me a e-mail and I will e-mail you with the photo I took of it, Myself and the Artist is trying to come up with prints and at this time we are not sure what ones we want to go with. I would like to offer some on canvas but the cost is a lot higher then on paper, but the prints on canvas are as good as the painting, and then we want a smaller size so we can wholesale then, I have talked to the VFW main HQ in MO. and there are two ways we can offer then thru them, but I call only use one of the options, I am not trying to make a sell pitch here, but I would like to make them knowing to all of you, and here is how I would to work it, Last year Dan G. sent a e-mail asking for us to help a member of the Hard Charger's make it to the reunion, so my plan is to help Dan do this for other members that can not afford the cost. Any way the main reason I writing this is to say I really missed not being able to make it to last years reunion, but we are taking care of my wife's parents, we are hoping they will be in good enough heath this year where we can hire some one to come in to take care of then so we can make it to the Reunion. Where and when will the reunion be held in 2007? Name: Ron I rwin messageI just wanted to say hi Name: Ken ( Killer ) Kruglick messageHi, its me Killer Kruglick, I was in C Battery 6 /16 arty in Vietnam was shipped over there on a troop ship Nelson Walker from Ft Sill, I was in the ammo section and the end of my tour I was breifly assigned to the 30th arty and then few back to Ft Lewis, Wash. and the back to Ft Sill for my remaining 90 days left in the army I was at LZ Bird and remember it like it was yesterday, my email is info@ritewayhomeinspection.com I talked to Mike Everton a few years back but lost contact, I you know me send me an email Thanks Ken ( Killer ) Kruglick Name: Tom Nash messageI recently received this fraudulent e-mail. If you should receive it, too, do not reply. It is a Nigerian 419 fraud For more info go to www.fraudwatchinternational.com and search Nigerian fraud. Dear friend, My name is Mr. Kamal Johnson,I work in a managerial position in a well respected security company, with a head office in Lagos-Nigeria I am contacting you because of an urgent business transaction that I want to do with a trusted foreigner, I got your email information from one of my good friends who was among the 30TH FIELD ARTILLERY REGIMENT ASSOCIATION who is presently in Lagos-Nigeria though I did not disclose the deal to him. When he gave me your email address, I did not ask him his source because I trust his judgment, having known him for a very long time. On the 25th of November 2003, the sum of $41,500,000.00 was deposited with my company, disguised as a family heirloom in a trunk box, this is not the only time that corrupt government officials uses the services of my company to ship their ill gotten wealth abroad or secure it for future use. I took exceptional note of this deposit because it was large and as the man at the helm of affairs then, I got to know the man behind the deposit, Late President Gnassingbe Eyadema who died on February 2005. The reason for my contacting you is that I checked and found out that the deposit is still intact and nobody has asked for it, and I know that nobody will ever ask for it, I am the only living soul who knows the true identity of the depositor, no other person can retrieve the deposit except the person can produce the codes combination which was given to the depositor, the way we operate is that if the depositor wants to retrieve his deposit, he will instruct the company in writing and give his codes and if the manager confirms the code, the deposit will be released at once to the person, no name or identification is needed. If you accept to work with me, I will give you the instruction letter to send to my company and also when the company asks for the codes, I will give them to you Please if you are not interested in this business let me know so that I can contact someone else. My Best Regards, Mr. Kamal Johnson. Name: Patricia Wrighthouse messageI did not service just seen that one of my family members did. When I arrived in country I don't remember where the unit was. I was sent to An Khe for five days of FO training then back to Battery. Shortly after that we towed our guns to LZ Two Bits. From there to Larami where I spent the rest of my time. I don't remember much. I don't know why. Booze I think. I served as a Gunner for some time, gun 3 I belive. I went out as an FO NCO Twice then promoted to my own gun. I do remember that we put out alot of rounds during OP Pershing, I remember the rain and getting water delivered in gas blivits. We also made a transition from 155mm towed to 155mm SP. While searching the internet for info about the 6/16, I came across the link to your site, and also to Charlie Battery, 6/16. I have a hard copy of a communication from CPT Robert D. Middleton which was sent to HHB in 1967 in my archives. It briefly details the events of 27 December 1966, the defense of the guns at LZ Bird. If anyone would like a copy of this communication, I would be happy to send it to them. Also, by way of recognition to those members of Charlie Battery forgotten by the U. S. Army, I post a keystroked copy of this letter every Veterans Day on several forums I belong to, so that people will remember the account of Charlie Battery. I am proud to note that the 3/30th has the important training mission of developing FA junior officers in the turbulent times we live in today. Just a line to let everybody know I'm bored as hell, This would be due to the fact that I went against better advice and tried to walk and chew gum at the same time. Fell and tore my knee up. Waiting for a date for surgery, meanwhile I have graduated from a cane to crutches and I'm not too proficient on them. So, I make it to the computer and here I sit. If I have to read about Brad and Jens break-up one more time I'll go more nuts then I already am. So drop me a line if you get the chance. Thanks JW Name: William T.
